tion of their life, unable to realize where they are, where they came from and where they are going. Learning how to coordinate things, people, time, and space enables us to have material wealth, good relationships with others, synchronization with the circumstances in life, and a good working idea of our origin, our present, and our destiny. One of the more essential aspects of exploring the personal performance range of breadth is the coordination of people. Coordination of people through service will benefit almost all aspects of one's life by bettering personal relationships. Personal relationships are paramount to life. Without the interaction of one's body, mind, and soul with the body, mind, and soul of others, life has no meaning whatsoever. All of our endeavors, work, play, worship, creativity, science, philosophy, sports, art, everything is based on relationships with other personalities, some even divine. Self-maintenance and solitary activities may be two exceptions, but even those things have meaning only within the larger context of associating with other people. It you are unsatisfied with any part of your external life, it is probably due to the lack of service you give to people. Service that can coordinate your relationships with them. Again, service is to act on behalf of the whole rather than the part. On behalf of the group rather than the individual, the individual most often being yourself. This does not necessarily mean self-sacrifice, because you are also part of the group. So service must serve not only the interests of others but also yourself. Therein lies the seeming difficulty and the paradox which is inherent in an elliptical universe. One of the things that make it more difficult than it is are the mental toxins of Fear, Anger, Envy, Jealousy, Suspicion and Intolerance. These mental poisons are just as insidious and harmful as physical poisons, maybe even more, because the physical poisons are visible and we are warned about them in magazines, television, books and even on bumper stickers. But mental poisons are taken for granted as being a part of us, as something we have little or no control over. This is in error. We can and should work on ridding ourselves of these terrible toxins of the mind. If you take a close look at all the relational problems you've had with other people, you will notice that they were all directly caused or influenced by these toxins within yourself or within others, but most of the time within all parties concerned. (Unless it was caused by physical toxins.) People indulge in these mental poisons voluntarily, just as they may indulge in physical toxins such as nicotine or alcohol. The indulgence is usually caused by insecurity. We get Fearful when we are insecure of our health, status, self-esteem, possessions, and love. We get Angry when we are insecure of our point of view, of being right, of being understood, of being taken seriously. We get Envious when we are insecure that we are not having as good an experience as others. We get Jealous when we are insecure of our worth because others are having a better experience. We get Suspicious when we are insecure of our faith in others. And we get Intolerant when we are insecure in our perception of truth and goodness in other people. Kicking these mental habits would certainly be doing a service to ourselves. The way to banish these poisons from our minds is to be secure. Secure in the safety of our body, mind and soul; secure in being fallible and not taking ourselves too seriously; secure in the value of our own lives and personal experiences; secure in our self-worth, without comparison to others; secure in our faith of others; and secure in our minds of the existence of truth and goodness in other people. But where do we get such a powerful sense of security? There is only one place, one source of absolute security, and that is the Creator of All, and the connection to that source is within us. By regular contact with that source, we can achieve security of the body, mind, and soul.
2. Association
Our levels of association also grows with our self consciousness until we reach cosmic consciousness. Step by step, we grow from thinking about the welfare of just ourselves to thinking about the welfare of larger and larger groups. From the one to the whole. If the "whole" that we are dealing with is one's family, it is quite probable that we know what is good for it. But as we deal with an ever increasingly larger whole, be it school, organization, city, state, nation or planet, the harder it becomes for us to know what is good for the entirety. When we consider the ultimate whole, the universe of universes, not only in space but in time, how can one mere mortal possibly know what is good for such a mindbending aggregate of matter, mind and spirit? And if we cannot know what is good for the whole universe, how can one individual do anything for the whole rather than for oneself? Because of this conundrum, most people will only act beneficially for the whole that one can see around them and know intimately such as one's family and friends. The wider one's sphere of influence and consciousness, the better the understanding and acceptance of what the whole encompasses. Some behave for the good of the whole family, some for the good of the whole city, some for the good of the whole nation, and some for the good of the whole planet. Not many human beings can see and know what is good for the whole universe. But that is our target: increased levels of spiritual perception and cosmic consciousness. This development of cosmic consciousness will eventually happen to the group, starting from families to churches to small communities to larger groups, cities, states and nations, and then to the whole planet. Individuals, however, can proceed at their own pace. It is entirely possible for an individual to identify with the entire universe and to have loyalty to the whole of creation regardless of their group's inclinations. This is made possible by connecting to the spirit within, the divine fragment of the Creator with which we are all endowed. This contact is made possible because the soul
