will have a trying day, to have to go against the status quo, requires courage. It has also been said that courage is not a fearless state, but of overcoming fear that you have, a struggle against an invisible foe. The ability for the mind to fight off the paralyzing effect of fear is due to the mind spirit of courage. Acknowledge this spirit of courage within yourself. Then think of the times you have transcended this spirit of the mind to allow your soul to bypass fear through your spiritual convictions that gives you transcendent faith. All is well. It is not a struggle but an embracing. Not a clenching but a relaxing. Faith in God and insight into our eternal destiny bring forth the highest type of bravery: loyalty towards spiritual realities. See if you can differentiate in yourself the courage of the flesh, the courage of the mind, and the brave convictions of the soul.
4. The Circuit Of Knowledge--the connection towards adventure and discovery, the scientific spirit; the complements to the spirits of courage and counsel; the urge to direct the endowments of courage into useful and progressive paths of growth.
As you go about your daily life you pick up tidbits of knowledge, from the books and newspapers, from television, movies and other people. Your brain is a storehouse of data, much like the hard disk on a computer. But the computer is not aware of the data it contains. You are, however, aware of the information that you have. You know that you have knowledge because of the function of the mind spirit of knowledge. Seize on this awareness. And now think of what you know in your soul. Your soul knows things existentially as well as experientially. It was nurtured by heartfelt experience, but as it begins to ascend, it gains knowledge from the spirit, knowledge that transcends experience. And your soul is aware of its own awareness. The soul knows that it knows. Reflect on what you know with your mind and what you know in your soul. Knowledge from the mind results in beliefs, knowledge from the soul results in faith.
5. The Circuit Of Counsel--the urge to socialize, the willingness to cooperate; the ability to harmonize with others; the origin of the gregarious instinct.
Humans are social creatures. We benefit greatly from the interaction as we gain information and make friends through social relationships. As a member of a bigger group, the exchange of ideas and assistance increase the welfare of the whole. Appreciate that the spirit of counsel provides your material mind mechanism with the urge to socialize, to gather together, sometimes even in animosity. The soul goes beyond mere socializing, it seeks spiritual relationships - becoming one with the family of All, to see the divine in all creatures. As your soul seeks to become a member of the universal family, your relations with others become more than social, they become loving.
6. The Circuit Of Worship--the religious impulse, the inner demand to seek out and understand spiritual origins, a primal urge separating animals from humans. The spirit of worship forever distinguishes the creature with which it is endowed from the creatures without it. This urge is the first step towards spiritual ascension.
The wonderful urge to worship, to find the origin of life itself can be mysterious. Think of the many things that are worshipped by the various religious faiths in the world. This urge to communicate with the Creator comes from the mind spirit of worship. Recognize and appreciate that the spirit of worship provides us with the urge to worship...anything suitable. What is the difference between worshipping a rock or an idol with the true worship of the Universal Creator? Could it be that soul worship achieves the reality of communicating with God? The soul does not need the adjutant spirit of worship for the urge to worship. The inexpressible longings and unutterable aspirations of the human soul is directly communicated to the divine Creator. The soul has a personal relationship with the reality of the First Source.
7. The Circuit Of Wisdom--the inherent tendency of all moral creatures towards orderly and progressive evolutionary advancement. This is the coordinator that makes the work of all the others intelligible. Through this circuit comes the urge of mind creatures which initiates and maintains the program of transformation - continuous life; their ability to coordinate all their past experience and present opportunities. Wisdom is the acme of intellectual performance. To be wise is the epitome of human mental and moral existence. When, as a child, you were given money, you might have initially spent it all at once. As you aged you might have learned to save some of it for a future time. This growth in wisdom was facilitated by the coordination of the six other mind spirits. Through intuition, understanding, courage, knowledge, counsel, and worship, you learned the wisdom of delayed gratification. The mind spirit of wisdom may even have urged you to make it into a hard and fast rule of living. Appreciate the mind spirit of wisdom urging us to orderly advancement by coordinating the other six adjutants and formulating human philosophy. Then reflect on how your mind's wisdom is rooted in the linear material world, while your soul's wisdom partakes of spiritual reality. The soul's wisdom transcends fixed rules and human experience and taps into the existential wisdom of spiritual realities. Human wisdom is often rigid and rule oriented, the soul's wisdom is characterized by spontaneity and flexibility. Human wisdom focuses on the illusions of this life, while the soul's wisdom encompasses the destiny of eternal life.
